Evo X Backfire.. Help.

I just installed my new custom Catback exhaust its 3" straight pipe with dual 2.5" pipe at the end, no muffler, no resonator, Stock CAT.. Now the car backfires alot "or i think correct term is afterfire ?"
Will this cause any damage to the turbo? or the engine? car is stock besides the exhaust.

Even with an off the shelf AccessPort tune (Perrin Stage 1), after I installed my Perrin CBE I notice the occasional small "pop" every now and then...no backfire...just a small hiccup. I think sounds like this just come with the territory when installing an aftermarket CBE.

A tune will help a bit but you'll still get it. I kinda like it

The best is now you WILL be throwing fireballs/flames if you gun it and then let off the gas.

Tune isnt going to fix it. It is just what these cars do with exhausts.. with a test pipe its even worse. You should hear my car... it pops all over the place.

Does it pop at open throttle too? or at close throttle only?

I love that popping, I don't know what your talking about, "op". I was disapointed when I first bought the car and it was so docile.

HFC should not make it flame at all, most likely it will limit backfire a lot more than test pipe.

I'm right there with you. I draw wood when my car backfires.
