so its mainly the mbc? b/c I've got some bolt ons like UICP, intake, TBE and since then it boosts @ 25 but tapers down. So is 25lbs ok if I'm tapering down?

Go get a tune, and have the boost tables adjusted.

Sorry this happened Same thing happened to me on my evo 8 last summer (my car was tuned to clarify) and I had the same attitude you did..thank god it wasn't worse and your okay because you can't replace life! Unfortunately for myself my car was outta warranty
