thanks for your input here AMS! I am undoubtedly supportive of your shop and your products. My dilemma stems from not wanting to mix/match parts, etc. If you guys had a resonated testpipe like the T1R, it would be:

AMS o2/dp > AMS resonated testpipe > Blitz DT catback!!!!

As I am still undecided, I am still keeping all options open.

I have the AMS downpipe mated to a Cobb HFC (Cobb calls it a test pipe) and currently hooked up to the stock cat-back. It fits without any problems and seeing we are talking about pipes, not high tech, I don't see a problem. Down the road I will add the rest of the CB, either Megan or Works but I have not decided yet.

^ lowkey, you're absolutely right. You would think that just being pipes, it would be a non-scientific process, however It surprises me sometimes how "off" companies are from each other in their specifications and the jigs they make for their parts. Flanges of different sizes, holes of different distances, all can cause exhaust leaks, poor fitments amongst each other, etc... That is what I am trying to avoid.

I was looking into these and I like that one a lot.

p.s. Why has xtremeboost account been disabled?

The AMS piece is worth the money. As others have said, removing the downpipe is a pain in the ***, and I would be livid if I had to deal with welded pieces cracking on me down the road.

I compare the quality of the AMS piece to my wife's APS Subaru stuff... and that's saying a lot.

Not to start a fire or anything, but you would think testing against other 02/downpipes would have been done by now considering AMS has gone to the other spectrum with their development. I am truly interested in know what the major advantages are besides it being cast.

I recently bought the AMS downpipe. I haven't seen the T1R one in person so I can't attest to the quality, but the quality on the AMS piece is outstanding. They have the proven results to go along with it, too.
