ams o2 dp vs perrin dp with hfc part II

need opinion from you guys.im going to sean ivey for tuning in 3 weeks.so far my mods are hks-reloaded intake, ic pipes, hi power exhaust and ams ic. im not going for a bigger turbo in the near future, staying with the stock turbo. do you think i should go with the ams o2 dp, perrin dp with hfc ? would it really make more power with the stock turbo?or should i stay stock?for the price of each dp ,is it worth $ per hp and tq?need advice ...

I think AMS has awesome products but if you're gonna stick with the factory turbocharger, there's no need for a bigger 02 housing.

I have all Perrin and dollar per horsepower between the two, it's an extra mod or two.

It's your money, but best bang for the buck, go Perrin.

edit: taking off factory o2 housing is a biiitch....

I would just stay with the stock DP until you DO go with a bigger turbo. Install blows... might as well do both at the same time.

o2 housing + dp = faster spool.

Get the AMS piece (or UR or ETS, etc.). You WILL notice the difference. But the install ain't the easiest for sure.

will it make a big difference if you tune it now without the ams o2 dp/ perrin dp hfc than when you have it and then tune? estimate hp/tq gains with or without it with tune?

I like the AMS "Big mouth" housing. Damn I like all the AMS stuff, top notch.
As for tuning after adding parts, I would say add as many parts as possible before the tune, makes sense.
There are things you can change after the tune, the intake pipe and filter not being one of them as it has such a dramatic effect.

Just installed mine a few days ago. The quality is top notch. But the install took forever. However, even if it took twice the amount of time to install, I'd still choose my AMS dp.

I went with the ETS o2 DP.Quality is outstanding and I believe they have had their car on a dyno with the DP before and after.Just go to the Dyno section under ETS Dyno results.

Apples vs Oranges. I don't know how these two parts can be compared since they're designed to do two different things. The AMS pipe will yield more gains because it replaces the restrictive stock O2 housing and the perrin does not.

Excellent point.

If you go with the AMS O2 DP you will notice a difference, trust me. I also have a highflow cat and really noticed not difference than when I had a resonated test pipe (which is a good thing).
