UR or other test pipes (straight or bent?)

Howdy,
Just out of curiosity why are some of the test pipes i have seen completely straight and some have the slight bend in them. On the UR website some pics have the straight one some have the bent one that follows the normal path of the stock cat pipe.
Are the straight ones bolt in, or are they based on having the UR o2/dump combo??

Has anyone encontered issues with the fitment of these straight or bent cat pipes.

(Link above shows test pipes, some are dead straight some are bent)

i have the UR testpipe with mini muffler and its all straight. i see what you mean, the slightly curve pipe is the resonated testpipe.
theres probably no biggie.

I have the resonated test pipe and its straight.. just wondering if i will have any fitment issues (UR O2/DUMP, RESONATED TEST PIPE, TO STANDARD CAT BACK)

Im just wondering if the straight ones are based on having the UR o2/dump? and the bent ones are for stock dump??

Thumbs up

We recently changed our design of our cat replacement pipes. We eliminated both bends (which followed the same bends as the OEM cat) for a smoother flow. The flange ends are angled and allow for bolt-on fitment, just like the stock cat.

Quietest would be the mini-muffler test pipe. It's been shown to be the quietest of all of our cat replacement options (including the high-flow cats). You'll also retain the benefits of a full 3 inch free flowing pipe!

Don't think the small bend makes much of a difference. We did a one-off piece on a customer's EvoX and it is straight. If I were to produce these, I'd prefer a small bend for a slightly better fitment. Seriously doubt there's any degradation in performance either way. Getting rid of the cat is a real plus though

I just want to add that fitment isn't affected with our new straight design. The flange positions are exactly the same.
