Serious BOV question... which one works under HIGH boost?

I hate to start another BOV thread.... but i have been having bad luck with them.

I currently and running a forge recirc unit.. but under Partial Throttle in 5th, the BOV opens slightly and leaks, causing the car to throw a code, making it imobile. i have to pull over, reset battery, and the car is slugish for a couple minutes till its normal.

and this is with a 100% recirc setup.

if i put the stocker back it ( which is crushed), its fine.

however,

it leaks! Im running 30-33 psi, and during fullboost the stock BOV does not stay closed fully.

So my question is, what BOV can i get that wont throw codes in 5th under partial throttle and dosent sound like a gay little fairy wistle when it blows off.

I dont want to get the Tial Alpha Q because its so damn big.

any stock mounting units fully 100% recirc.

how long will i be waiting? this is not something I like dealing with.. and this is on the stock turbo. i have a FP red in the mail and that is getting a 110oct 30 psi tune and i am going to need a serious BOV for that application.

I'm looking into the Synapse Synchronic BOV as an option myself. Currently I'm getting some BOV flutter at low boost when letting off the throttle after getting 5 psi. I'm also getting some flutter when climbing a hill on the highway with steady throttle at 5 psi... the car starts bucking from the flutter.

The Works BOV was fine with the stock turbo because that would only happen below 2500 rpm, but with the GT30 turbo this happens at 3500 or lower which is right where I cruise for daily driving. Sadly this BOV is not adjustable so while it holds boost great I can't soften the spring to see if low boost drivability can be made livable again.

From what I've read the Synapse Synchronic holds 100+ psi and has "A & B" vacuum/boost ports and a "C" Boost only port that you can use in different combos to get various sensitivity as well as a preload adjustment.

Evo X install in stock location:

How it works and reacts with different configs, slow motion at end can be seen easier:

This shows some how fast the valve reacts and possible throttle response improvements:

I'm not really sure the throttle response can be seen on the road and I'm unsure if having the BOV hanging open at vacuum is a good idea. I know if you recirc it after the airflow sensor it should run ok but won't a vacuum leak make your car pull less vacuum at idle?

I order for me to use this BOV I'll have to get a longer BOV routing hose from the Lower IC pipe to clear the radiator fan because it's kind of big and clunky. Anyone use one of these with success on an Evo X?

When the FP Red comes I wonderif you could run a regular Tial setup, Ive seen the ESX car run a GT35 with the stock BOV

if you are going that far, get the normal Q and the correct spring

Have you tried messing with spring pressure on the forge recirc valve?

You could try crushing your stocker to help it hold boost. Otherwise Tomei makes a great piece that looks stock.

Maybe a FORGE RS, good to about 30 psi. Works great with my car. No boost leaks or really fluttering issues.

yes, tried all springs with washers in many combinations.

Try a pull type bov such as the synapse or the hks. They will not leak under boost, only vacuum.
