Benefits of Intercooler Hard pipes

Just curious as to the actual benefits of the hard pipe kits that are out there. Any real # increases from these? Or at least throttle response? Or are they just really nice looking pieces of metal.

on the X, the upper intercooler pipe will net the gains (smoother airflow). ultimate racing makes a pretty cheap one for $170 (Evo X uicp kit)

the stock uicp has a piece that expands under heat which hurts performance, this one won't expand. when i get my X, the first things i will get will be:

CAI
3" catback
upper IC pipe
forge WGA
tune

We've probably got the best deal for the dollar spent as well. Here is our 1pc UIP in Matte Black:

Nisei Engineering offer's them in : Nisei Black, Red, Polished, 1pc, 2pc Type A & B, and soon to be coming in Blue (Limited Edition). We usually have them all in stock!

If you need more details let me know!

I was told the lower pipe isn't worth the money until you upgrade your turbo and intercooler
