Transfer Case oil?

I know alot of people reccomend to go with oem on this (Diaqueen)

but i was wondering wats a good alternate fluid?

I seen suggestions such as
-Amsoil SVGQT-EA (75w-90)
- Redline shockproof

im leaning more towards Amsoil because they are spoken for and proven.

The reason im looking for an alternate fluid is because im on th Big Island of Hawaii and thee is no mitsubishi up here. Also there is no source for diaqueen in other auto part stores. Im changing out my clutch right now and might change the T-case oil sense im in there...

so anybody use something other then oem fluid?

thanks guys

I vote for Diaqueen, none of the aftermarket fluids meet the stringent requirements so far. There were many blown transfer cases due to wrong fluids, at least this was the case with older evos

Not enough time for the aftermarket to come up with viable alternatives.

Go with Mitsubishi stock fluid--if something breaks, then you still have a warranty.

^^^By law no dealer can denegate anyone warranty for using longer drain intervals oil's these has been through courts and is set in stone.

way to manny people running aftermarket oils, way to many people running AMSOIL SVG that has been proven to outperform over and over.

You stepped up your game in the power of you evo right ? now its time to step up the game and put quality oil's in your evo

Iam sure there is a very good reason why name shops like AWDmotorsports, AMSperofmance, English Racing and too manny more are using AMSOIL on their high horsepower cars

FOR OFF ROAD ONLY< AND YOU NEED TO ADD SLIP LOCK FOR LSD UNITS.

I use the OEM fluid for the transfer case. Redline MTL for the transmission fluid. Great combo!

LOL... Who makes Mitsubishi Fluid.... This Year ?

It is against the law for them to void a warranty for the type of fluid you run. Not only that, the Dealer has No Power to void a Warranty. It must be done by an OEM Rep.

Stock OEM Fluid is over-rated and over-priced.

Does it really matter who makes it? It is made to mitsubishi specs. Mine has japanese writing all over it making it super special (jk). Sure, you can use another equivalent fluid, but you also can't go wrong with diaqueen.

Yes, it really does matter who makes it. There is no governing body that controls Gear Lube. Most do not meeting the Specs on the bottle.

I came across this report performed to ASTM Specs
http://www.bestoil4you.com/files/g2457GearLube.pdfed

Quite interesting that only 2 of the lubes test passed these tests.
