Clutch engagement point changed?

Hey guys,

I'm having some driveability issues with my new Southbend clutch and want to ping the community for information.

My new full face sprung hub feramic clutch starts to engage about half pedal but doesn't full engage until the very top of the pedal. This makes it very difficult to smoothly shift. I know the OEM clutch was similiar, but my OEM clutch had a slightly lower engegment point than this SB clutch.

For those that swapped clutches, what changed regarding the pedal engagement point and clutch transistion window?

Also SB noted that the release bearing collar (shaft the bearing slides on) has been known to cause dragging and/or sticking during release. Also they mentioned something about the bearing being misaligned on th shaft.

I ensured that the shaft was clean and lubed properly to ensure smooth sliding of the bearing on the shaft and could easily slid th ebearing back and forth on the shaft using the clutch fork by hand...Anyone hear of the above mentioned before?
