Pushing past 8k RPM
I'm curious as to those who are pushing there cars past 8k rpm have you seen the need to replace the rod bolts? I know if you going into the 600+ hp range you should change them but what about higher rpms'?

I'm not personally pushing past 8000 rpm, but drawing from experience of every other engine I've built, you'll definitely want to look at replacing the rod bolts if you're revving higher than 8000. Rotating assembly velocity and acceleration becomes insane at those engine revs... better safe than sorry.

The rod bolts is what failed in ETS car when it started pushing 8k+ on their 35r setup to make the big numbers. I would say if you're going to be revving it out that far regularly then new springs/retainers/rod bolts would be an obvious choice to save yourself the heartache of having to build a new motor
