It's barely been released for the Evo 8/9's so unless they figure out how to make the stock frame turbos react better to the larger wheels you would be better served looking into other options.
If you need something that flows more than an FP Red you are better off looking at the CBRD BBK turbos that are starting to ship or waiting for the AMS offerings. I've recently had some better luck with the GT3076r but it seems to like quite a few mods before it will put out. It's hardly a bolt-on turbo in my book besides the fact that it uses the stock location.
Another option is to go with an ETS GT35r turbo kit of some sort, 20 psi spool in 4th won't happen until 4300-4500 but when the power hits you will know it.

Where did you see that the BBK flows more than the FP Red? I read the thread on that turbo but it looked like they were just throwing numbers out there and they flowed about the same? Did I miss something?

^^ from the thread of CBRD, BBK flows around 57 lbs/min...from what i know fp red flows like 49-52lbs/min (around that range)..but then again i haven't seen actual numbers so my statement isn't that accurate it's like hearsays...

Yeah the flow rate of the wheel combo is not necessarily what it flows on the street, much depends on boost levels and fuel used in order to reach the power and flow levels of a turbo. The new BBK turbos use some kind of Billet compressor wheels that perform better than current designs so it's the hot product right now. I think the FP Red is rated at 60 lbs/min but I have yet to see one past 600 crank HP at pump gas boost levels. My last round of mods show me at 550 crank HP on the GT3076r turbo, it just wasn't easy reaching that power level and I think it's rated at 55 lbs/min. Higher boost and cams should get me around 600 crank HP but now that the flow limits of the turbo are being pushed it may me time to upgrade it's internals to something better.
Looks like these wheels would be nice to put inside:
