Exhausts, exhausts, exhausts,... (Yes I searched)
SORRY WRONG SECTION - MODS PLEASE MOVE TO EVO X GENERAL!
Well after reading up on every single exhaust topic out there, I'm still completely undecided which exhaust I should order for the X.
And for the heads-up: o2 housing, 3" downpipe and testpipe are going to be there before this catback
What I'm looking for:
- as quiet as possible at cruising speeds
- 3" (or a taper of max 2,75")
- if twin tip - it has to be the same lenght both sides because having a backfire or smoke coming just from one looks awful (yes I care if I have the option to)
- preferably titanium burnt tip
What I don't want:
- droning
- unwanted attention
- a 51" tip angled 70 degrees to the right - a JDM angle exhaust like Greddy Ti-C is beautiful and perfect in every way (have it on my IX) but some of the exhausts I've seen for the X are just... hideous...
Well guys, help me out here

I have the Perrin exhaust and I find that the sound and fitment are absolutely spot-on. I just did a twelve hour drive averaging around 76 mph in it and it was never obtrusive. I also saw more cops than I have on any drive in my entire life and had no problems.. It also sounds seriously special when it gets higher in the rev range. I'm posting a full review in the General section soon so I'll add a link later.

AEM intake
AMS UICP
AMS intercooler
Ichiba 3" test pipe
Greddy Spectrum Elite catback
Quiet for test pipe + exhaust setup. Slight droning right about 70mph.. very minimal
droning...
Nice tone at WOT... but again, fairly quiet.

Yea I'm leaning towards Greddy SE too... However this has come to my attention:

Specialty X. Seems pretty nice and I love the work they put in the video showing every aspect of the exhaust. Looks pretty stock to an eye that doesn't watch evos often (a cop).

Read my Greddy SE review. Thanks to Mike from Touge Factory for hooking me up with the exhaust and TP.
