Yep, that's normal.

The cut out is for the 90 degree PCV fitting that goes in there.

Yes that is normal. That is so that the PCV valve can deliver blow-by through the intake, you'll notice that it fits real nice because of that indentation.

What's not correct, is the hose they sent in many of our kits that hooks up the the BPV. It's too large. Test fit yours and if it's not right, you may want to go to the auto part store and get a new one. Mine was 50 cents with a little inconvenience on the side.

Yea, I had the same issue with the hoses. I ended up installing the intake 3 times. (1. missing alum pieces, 2. wrong size hose, 3. win). One thing I learned installing it 3 times was that my install kept the boost pill in place so I don't overboost (as some were reporting).

What size hose did you use for the replacement? I just got zip ties and squeezed the wrong size hose tight. It has not blown off, but now that you mention it, I intended on replacing that hose. No sense sitting on that time bomb.

Can you read the sizing info off the correct fitting hose? I believe that the hose was 12 inches long, but it was the diameter that I was interested in.

Thanks.

Are you talking about the one that runs from the BPV (aka BOV) to the hard line on the engine? If so, I just took the stock one to my local automotive store and said, "I need one of these, only this long" and showed him a rough size. Then I went out to my car, pulled my pliers out of my pocket and installed it on my car.
