^Obviously not in this case. Looks like this intake kicks some major *** for such a cheap price. Props to the OP for doing this and posting pictures of the install!!! I love it!

I noticed a lot of you guys said theres nothing wrong with cheaper brand intakes and piping for the x, so would you guys recommend cheaper intakes and piping for the evo 8?

stuff looks really good man, for $150 I think you got a great value. Your install talk thru and the pics are really good as well. I hope you will comment on this along the road, and keep us posted to sdee if everything continues to hold up!

Yes the evo 8 stuff has already been tested on other guys you just have to search.

Its been proven that many product knockoffs can be just as good. When someone steps up like this guy did and try it out and report back, that's how we benefit. Of course all the big guys will slam these products as it takes food out of their mouth. I dont want to say names but their has been a bunch of crapolla products from big names on here for the X

Shortram that sucks hot air, later came a shield fix

Cutout duel exhaust system

Exhaust that hangs ridiculously low and hits speed bumps

UICP that doesn't fit

O2 Downpipe cracking

I'm sure there's a list a mile long

Products like these are made in the same factories that the BIG name ones are. There are some companies that do make their stuff in house but the majority on the larger parts companies just do the engineering and design but farm out the manufacturing. When they do this in places like China the factory workers who build these start making knock offs just like these from home and have relatives state side sell them.

the intake looks to be a good deal... the UICP looks like trash. Props for trying these out though.

looks great. my only initial concern was whether or not they included the step down technology which they did and if they included any of the ram affect technology.

notice the small pipe inside the pipe...thats what i was wondering if they included . which they did thtas part of injens patented design, without it the car might throw a CEL.

pictures look good and im quite impressed. the only reason i had a problem initially is that injens intellectual property has been stolen stuff like this is what makes them not want to make more products but someones always going to make a copy so it is what it is...

hopefully everything holds up because so far its proven to be a good copy (not all copys are good) and a great deal.

those on a budget in the X community should be thankful that you were the guinea pig. props to you.

the only difference might be that the inside of the pipe where the pipes are joined together in the injen intake the transisitions might be smoother. I dont have either so I cant really tell you the difference. All parts for our cars are pretty much exactly the same, there is hardly any difference save for a slight length difference or minor little tweaks to distinguish them from one another.

look like you got a great deal OP

I have had hands on experience with X02 products. Needless to say, the fit, finish and quality is top notch..

Just an update: Ben running this for a month now and it's still 100% perfect! Car has no side-effect or drivability probs and all is well. Highly recommended!

I'm curious to see how close the MAF calibration is compared to a real Injen on an Accessport.
