Stock Evo X intercooler size??
I never had my stock intercooler off my car, so I dont have the actual specs on it. Im in the market to upgrade my stocker. There are a ton of after market intercoolers, averaging a core size of 20 wide, 12 high and 4 inches thick. The problem is, I cant make an educated decision if I dont know where we start (stock size).
Can anyone with the stock intercooler off the car, post some pics and specs?? Thanks in advance..

Size doesn't matter much when the stock intercooler core is relatively inefficient compared to aftermarket ones
The stock core is actually pretty sizable; I lack specific dimensions, though.

(IMO someone has got to remove the plastic shrouds on the side and make a much WIDER core.)

There's quite a bit of things in the way that prevent it from being more than about 20" wide. Not saying it's impossible but you would have to heavily modify the front end to account for it and maybe delete the AC. The stocker is about 2.5" thick and likely still able to support 500-550 crank HP but at that point it will definitely be a restriction and prone to heat soak after multiple gear pulls. I think most people will do great with a 4" thick core from ETS or similar.
