Why we cant see Evo X stroker projects ? Is there any problem with the stroker kits ? an ERL kit doesnt cost as much more for X than an average kit on Evo 8-9 .
is there anybody on stroker kit with the X ? If yes please tell me some words about the car the turbo maybe dyno result..
My friend planing to buy 2.2 kit from cosworth maybe 2.3 from JUN .

There are a few guys over @ the other forum (EVOXFORUMS) that have threads talking about there stroker kit builds. ERL seems to be the best bang for your buck in terms of what you get in the kit as well as price. AMS makes a nice kit as well, but your wallet will hurt once your done. Either way, its looking as if there are allot now stroking the 4b11, and with time we will have some real solid "real world" feed back (longevity wise).

Both the AMS TA-X and Ryan Gates Evo run the 2.2L from AMS I would give them a call and ask about it.

My ERL short block is done and should be installed next week. I will have solid numbers on a red+ e85 by middle of december if the weather allows it. I made 480+ on the stock block with my current mods on pump with the 2.0 so i will be really happy with the build if it makes low 500whp range on e85 with the spool of a stroked motor + red.

The AMS kit is a big bore, not a stroker. There's a few huge differences in the two... key points in the differences:

Rod angle
Piston speed
Stock sleeves

If you want more info on bore vs stroke to increase displacement, search for a thread already covering it or make a new one

^^ very true and to my knowledge they are prototyping a 2.3L to compliment the size of larger turbos they make.

Yep, the now have a 2.3L protoype motor that is a high rev stroker. It is in one of their time attack cars that just took first place last weekend in some big race. It looks promising

I am ready to go sliding around. I highly doubt we will get any days that are decent for the rest of this year though.

Its all about the stroker for me. For the money the ERL kit is the best way to go. I'm running the JUN 2.3 and loved it right up until the time someone blew it (not me). Car has so much torque its like running Cleveland 351 in a 1500lbs car.

Yes the AMS 2.3 is bore. I've been talking to them about getting it after they have raced it a few times. And are OK with releasing it.

someone blew your motor?? were you on a really aggressive tune or in a track session? reason I ask, that seems a little surprising considering the cost of that kit if it lowers reliability... I mean I know we're talking about a lot of engine modification but I would have assumed that it's built to take abuse. Curious to hear more as I'm in the market as well.

...correction: 800awhp, maybe that had something to do with it haha. What failed exactly?
