New Tial BOV Q Recirculate 2010 version

http://www.extremepsi.com/store/cust...cat=390&page=1

Saw this for sale at a website today. Looks like it's finally out for sale but the official Tial website has no update on this model. Anyone heard of or try this one out yet?

It has 1.00" recirculation fitting and a large 1.98 in (50.5mm) valve.

Don't get this BOV mixed up with the Bong version called the Alpha Q. This one is based off the famous Q model but has recirculating port.

Would this be better than the Alpha Q???

What factors should you keep in mind when choosing the internal spring? Strong spring should be used in higher boost applications?

easier to fit, yes, better, no the AQ has one purpose, to move a LOT of air.

spring selection i am recommending you do one spring below what your car is rated for, since it recircs, it doesn't matter if it's open a bit at idle, no rich condition or weird idle will happen

like i said in the other thread, if you ever go to an air metering system where you don't need to recirc, you will be able to buy just the bottom of the Q so you will have a VTA Q

ALSO NOTE: THERE ARE TWO TUBE SIZES, ONE IS A 1.00" FOR BOSCH STYLE BPV'S AND THE OTHER IS A 1.34" WHICH IS EVO STANDARD

*UPDATE*

Just an update for anyone interested in purchasing this BOV from ExtremePSI.com. I just got off the phone with them and they confirmed that they DO NOT have the 1.34" outlet that is available from Tial Sport. They said they will be contacting their distributer to try and get that in for us.

I'm definitely interested. This Tial looks all business and finding a BOV that is better than stock is no easy task.

I've been shopping around for a BOV for a while. My stock one appears to be leaking a bit. The one above looks nice, and I want Tial. Decisions, decisions...

however we would have to weld a flange on our boost source for he BOV right? meaning its a 50mm and most of our boost on our intercooler pipes (lower or upper, depending on the brand) are only a 1" source.

would it be dangerous to use the 1" instead of the 1.34"?

no but why down size? Let is vent the amount of pressure that it needs to vent. Keep it at 1.34, buddy.

*UPDATE*

Ok everyone, I am pleased to announce that I finally got the Recirc with the correct outlet installed today. Check the pics and vid out!

Tial Recirc Vid
*If you turn up the volume you can hear the BPV when the throttle releases. It sounds better when your riding around. I'll put up another vid tomorrow. Hope you like.

ROFL, the tube is from NAPA for like $10 bucks. Seems to be holding up so far. Not showing in the pics are the clamps.
