I just ordered a case of their SSO (engine oil), 3 quarts of MTG (for my tranny) and 2 quarts of SVG (for my transfer case and diff) along with an oil filter for my Evo and an oil filter for my scuby.

I changed the oil in the scuby, but I still need to do the Evo. It's my project for the week.

Pic for the fun of it:

Did AMSOIL discontinue their MTL? I didn't see it on their website last time I was on there.

Yeah, I see MTF (5W-30) but didn't AMSOIL sell a 70W-80 or 75W-80 trans fluid marked 'MTL'? Maybe I'm thinking of the RedLine MTL...

You're still cool with me, its not everyday you find another hometown guy in the community. Where did you go to school at ? when ?

Bummer, I've been running the MTG for ~14,000 mi, but have been wanting to try something closer to the stock spec (75w-80.)

Right....that's why I'm going to use Redline MTL. That is closer to stock spec than the Amsoil. My friend who runs the Redline highly recommended it. He says it really takes the notchiness out and shifts smooth. The Amsoil is a bit heavier than stock fluids so it will shift harder when cold. It is fine when warm though.

My plan is Redline MTL for the tranny and Diaqueen OEM for the tcase and diff.

Is it worth importing it to the Philippines for my X? Or is it too much trouble and for me to settle with Motul, Mobil 1...etc?
