i have the same intake also ,

but remember this intake modifies the stock boost levels and usses bigger vaccum lines, the HP increase is not a true number

other wise its been a great intake i personaly think they are all the same i pick up mine used for a good price thats why i went with AEM

I usually only see a 2-3* temp increase with my AEM. Measured via ECU at highway speeds and slower speeds.

I have a 2010, I ran the AEM + TBE and I was still rich. I saw 10's, sometimes a 9.9 would pop in there.

I calculate Intake Air Temp - Outside Air Temp = 2-3*

Somebody else said that the Cobb intake sees a 20* temp increase.

I've had an AEM intake running on mine for a while, although it does block out any sound from the stock bpv it think the cold intake temps are well worth it, intake temps are always cool when moving

AFRs after cobb re-flash are great too

yes.... though maybe same difference in the end, what he meant was that there was a delta between cobb and aem configurations of 20deg.

I had the aem intake, ur dp, and ur cbe put on right when I got the car. Didn't get a AP till 2k miles later, sure enough I was boosting at 29psi. Have to run the cobb ots LWG ANC91 map to stay around 23 psi. I saw the stock MAF housing vs the AEM one and didn't seem to be different in diameter at all. It had less features to allow for less turbulent air flow but that's about it.

Why there is so much space where the pipe goes to aem box even with crappy thing that goes around the edge on the hole it's still massive space between the pipe and box!!!
Is anyone else has the same problem?

Yah I noticed that too, pretty bad design. You would think they could get some kind of round shapped seal instaed of a straight peice you have to form around the opening.

Yeahhhhh i fought with mine for about 20 minutes, and couldnt get it to seal very well, but i figure it gives a little needed space for the pipe to shift with the engine. still would've been nice to say its fully sealed off from the engine bay air

same deal here. the seal is okay up top, but on the bottom there's about 1/4-1/2" of space. i actually taped it up with duct tape at one point, but eventually took it off. also called aem, and spoke to a couple different reps, but each always says all the intakes are thoroughly tested and everything is done on purpose (generic answer). they told me not to mess with it.

It doesn't need to seal there. It just needs to keep heat out. Which it does fine.
