Arrow Evo x motec acd controller or other flash options

so i am looking to gain better rotation by using a ACD control unit or reflash would be good also. Anyway, motec sells this

http://www.motec.com.au/mdc/mdcoverview/

and they state that it can be used in others but the AYC will be disabled which would be perfectly fine with me if thats the ONLY downfall....aka no damage or issues otherwise to the acd/ayc and diffs.

also, ralliart has these acd ecu upgrades but they claim you can't use them on AYC cars so for the evo x the only car you could use it for is the evo X rs which is dumb. BUT same goes with the motec unit if you can use the ralliart tarmac acd flashed ecu and all it does is make the ayc not functional then awesome....i shut it off everytime i race anyway so i don't care. Any info

http://www.ralliart.com/10topics/100224_3.html

http://www.nengun.com/ralliart/activ...fferential-ecu

great price here
http://www.rhdjapan.com/ralliart-act...ecu-cz4a-62530

along the same lines (would be better and cheaper ) where is the ACD reflash that everyone is workin on with the ecuflash software at? far along ? gonna be months out?

thanks
dave

PS.....i am not against doing a 1.5 way rear diff or anything but i would rather have the ability to adjust everything with the computer and keep it simple . along with not having to buy a rear diff right now and install it now that racing season has started

ok so i spoke with motec and there are two things.....
1: yes running the acd controller from them eliminates the ayc completely( which is fine)...

2: you HAVE to use their stand alone engine management system inline with the acd controller on the X (which i am not interested in doing)

SOOOOOOOOOOOO this leaves me back to trying to find out A. if the ralliart flashed acd units will work with my car and just kill the ayc and B. if /when people realistically think the ecu flash acd controll will happen .

the BEST right now IMO is Kaps
http://eng.kaps-transmissions.com/ne...vo_x-1048.html

You will have to put a new mechanic rear diff (WOOT) -100lbs of crap.

i could leave everything alone and do a cusco 1.5 way rear diff..... OR i can see if the ralliart acd reflashed computer will work and just kill the ayc

the real question is what are your doing with your car that you need to control your diffs in any other way than it was intended...?

TBH I have no time

Once TephraXMODs gets out and about then hopefully I will look at something new...

I have to read up on what the CT9A guys are doing in regards to ACD - I don't think much has changed between IX and X in that regard

Why not a Gems center diff controller?

Here's a link:

http://www.gems.co.uk/?content=pages&id=evo-acd

I use one in my Subie rally car, couldn't be happier.
