By bore out .5 i meant for 86.5 pistons. From my understanding, even with a hone of the stock block, on a mid-high mile engine, a new 86mm piston will not fit with the clearances to spec. At least not every time. Hence going slightly bigger and boring out a bit. But I may also be wrong, this is just from what one shop has told me. Hell, I hope I'm wrong so I can just drop in rods/pistons w/o removing the block from the car.
