SSP Master Cylinder 2 (Still Issues)

Hey -

First off Im not bashing anyone and maybe it was a mistake on SSP and I got the wrong part. BUT here it goes...

So my Mitsu master cylinder had broken for the 3rd time. This time i decide to just buy this upgraded cylinder. I have an Exedy stock replacement clutch so its slightly tougher, but not much. So after being promised it would ship that week and waiting til the following week for it to get shipped I received it and had my shop install it. On first drive impressions it was great and solid. Very pleased. BUT once I hit traffic I noticed that the clutch is sticking a bit. No biggie I guess... BUT THEN it starts to stick even worst like, to the floor. This is ridiculous. You pay good money and take ppls word and still issues. Ive been paying for a rental since i ordered the part. On top of that had to pay for install labor. I would just one time like to receive a part, install it, and be confident it works.

Did you have a performance shop install it or a normal car shop? Just trying to think if maybe there was a mistake during install

Did you have to use the stock spring? If so you have the first version, which after a couple weeks stick to the floor, due to the oem spring being to weak.

Just left Greg at USC Performance. We bled the clutch again... still not working. I have been talking to Kris over at SSP to try and resolve the issue. Rental Car is on its second month now... SMH

During your stock clutch master cylinder days....why didn't you install the AMS Reinforcement Ring?

I'm running one on mine for over a year with an Exedy Twin HD.

I went with the DG upgrade using the EVO 9 MC and it works perfectly. ***** to install, but doubt I'll have to change it out again.

We have tried to contact Webshell several times, but no answer.

There have been no documented cases where the new MC2 has performed or functioned in this manner. The new MC2 has been performing flawlessly with all the aftermarket clutches out there.

I will also try making a video and posting it to show the install and the issue in question. Its important to understand im not bashing SSP, I am simply upset that the part is not working after such an expensive and long wait. And now another long and expensive wait ensues. I think anyone in my position would feel exactly the same.

Sidenote - no leaking fluds, and rebled the clutch just to be sure.

Why pay someone to take it out? It not hard to do.
