Is the Evo X turbo considered a K04? Or would it be larger/smaller than a K04? Thanks!

Stock turbo is larger than a K04 turbo.

K04 turbo = 35 lbs./min
STOCK TURBO = 42 lbs./min
FP Green = 54 lbs./min

I came from Audi tuning. The KO4 is standard on the european only S3. One the 2.0t that it is mated to to produces 260hp, without a tune and boltons. with a tune probably close to 300hp. That same engine is to be in the new R20(new R32) or GTI r which ever they decide to call it when it finally comes here. Most guys running the KO4 in the Audi's have decient gains and are considered a mild turbo upgrade. Most when go to a big turbo have fueling issues due to the low pressure fuel pump is different that VW. GTI's that are running BT have no issues with fuel. (weird since they same motors. With a APR tune on the 2.0t on 93 oct map you gain 70tq and about 45hp with exhaust and race filter. I know it dont answer your question but givin info.
