There is a Reason FP has a T/A time of longer than many others.. The turbos are in high demand.. I would be concerned if a Turbo company was OVER stocked.. all the good ones i know of are always on some type of lead time..

FP answers the phone atleast when you call thats a good start.. Some other shops go to voicemail all week.. I think if you take a look around you can see why FP cannot keep up with the demand..

19 of the 20 Fastest Stock Frame cars in the country running FP.. Notice the only BBK was us who did a favor by showing that our car that could probably run 11s all motor ran 10's w/ BBK..

Lets not get into " well BBK owners dont Drag race ".. Thats a cop out.. BBK owners cant make the list.. Its not a coincidence that all these cars have FP turbos.. They make power, they spool quick as hell and they work.. PERIOD..

Mike, Thanks, I'm not questioning their workmanship, experience or even their effectiveness.

I just don't like a company that tells me something will take 2 weeks, and then come to find out it will take 6.

Don't lie or be overly optomistic. If they know normal turn around time is 4-6 weeks, they should just state that on the webpage or when the question is asked. It's all about trust and communication.

I've owned a FP3065 in the past so I know they make quality components/turbo's. I'm a little peeved because I called a month ago and was told 2 week turn around time. So I planned around that, you know making sure I have a car to drive, and so forth.

there is a big difference between product being on the shelf and being built to order which is how our product is handled. Which is what people is special about it, and they are delivered in a timely manner.

I wish i could say why their TA time is off on occasion.. I dont know the inner workings at FP.. I have found though it has worked both ways for us.. I have been told 4 weeks and get an email in 2 weeks saying turbos in lets roll.. For me to explain why it takes 6 weeks sometimes when your told 2 is not something i can do.. I dont work for FP..

Have you thought of getting a new O2 down pipe? Like maybe the AMS? Beings you have to remove the O2 housing.

Just updating this thread and providing closure since I'm the OP.

I purchased the green and with minimal tuning and mods, I average 350-370whp.

Please see comparison VDR below:

More tuning and a few more mods I hope to hit 400whp.

Very stockish.

In fact the only time I really feel a difference is cruising in 4th or 5th at 2500rpm and mashing the throttle, it will take a sec longer to spool.

The Green's spool charateristics are why I bought the green. You will not want for better spool with the green, unless maybe you autocross, but even then I doubt it.

i have been encouraged by this thread to upgrade my turbo...i drive my car as a daily driver through hot summers and cold winters...im just looking for some extra hp without hurting the reliability of the car..350whp on pump gas is enough for me..am i safe with the FP green?, aside from a tune, is there any necessary mods that i would need if i plan on running stock boost levels? thanks
