Stock vs Single Walbro 255 Fuel Pump

How good is the stock Evo X fuel pump?? Or Should I say how much better is the single drip in Walbro 255 fuel pump? The BLAQOPS Single Pump Kit looks like the ticket. I don't want the Walbro to be "just a little better" though. Are there any tests out there comparing the Walbro to our pump? Thanks!

You can find charts around but basically the stock pump maxes on pump gas in the low 400's whp and a 255 is around 100 more (Dynojet numbers). The difference is a bit more dramatic on E85...you can't even max the stock turbo using the stock fuel pump.

Not sure on that one. I've seen quite a few people making far more than 400 WHP on the stock pump.

What were the numbers, then? What's the point in contradicting me and not offering any information?

I know exactly where the pumps max on the local Dyno Dynamics on E85 but I have to do some (mis)calculations from there. Hopefully Scheides will get to the point of maxing his stocker on pump.

stock shud be able to support up to a bbx/lite , green turbo without much issues but pretty much maxed out on pump.

would be a good idea to upgrade if a turbo upgrade is on it's way.

The way I look at it, if you are going through the time and expense to swap out a turbo with full supporting mods, a fuel pump is cheap insurance. Why not swap it out?
