UICP necessary?
i currently have the following mods.
RRE tune
test pipe
cosworth panel filter
im going to get a short DP, RRE stealth sideways muffler, and AEM intake.
the guys at RRE said that an UICP won't show higher dyno #'s..however turbo response will theoretically be better.
what do you guys think?

I had mine purchased allready, so I had them tune with it, but they said it is unnessessary.
And my suggestion is buy an O2/DP, which will net you the most gains.
I have the UR piece, but AMS widemouth looks like a great piece.
I also thought UICP should net you like 5 hp, but I guess I was wrong. It should def. help with response though, since the stock pipe has a large expandable part.

Funny thing is though, RRE does not recommend a 3-port. They said it shows no gains over stock selenoid. Unless I guess you go over 30psi.

I'm yet to find any conclusive proof that an aftermarket UICP does anything. Even though the stock one feels weird that it has a sock/soft feel to it, it's by no means any kind of bottleneck for the performance.
That being said it does look fugly and I was happy to get the free upgraded UICP with my Injen intake.

UICP isnt going to give you more power, but it will improve throttle response.
no flex w/ a full hard pipe setup, stock plastic hose has too much flex which limits airflow under hard accel
