2900 vs. 3200 lbs. People seem to have more lock-out issues when using the Extreme, the vast majority of drivers will be just fine with the HD. How much power are you making/planning to make, which disc are you going with, and what form(s) of driving/racing do you participate in?

I just got the Act hd 6 puck. It is rated at 650 tq i think. It grabs right away. I like it. but shifts differently. Youshould not need Extreme unless your probably gonna drag only. I learned from experience, dont get the street light fly wheel. it is only 8oz lighter. You'd be better off getting the stocker turned. but i'm used to mine now so it is all good.

afaik they don't sell the extreme for the X. It breaks the stock CMC within minutes so they stopped selling it back when the X was still fairly new.

The HD will give you a workout during stop-n-go traffic as it is. If you need to hold a lot of power then just get the sprung six puck. Takes a few weeks to learn how to drive one but it's not so bad.

The HD will hold most of what you need until you need a triple disc clutch...im at 37psi give or take on my FPblack and the clutch is holding up fine.

Just to add detail, Murlo has the ACT sprung 6-puck disc with HD pressure plate.

Act still offers the Extreme pressure plate I have one going in with my built motor as we speak. They will only release it if they(Act/Vendor) know you have an upgraded master cyl. That being said I dont think its needed for most builds.

I don't think its needed for any builds

What kind of power to you expect to make with your car where you think you need an extreme?

I have a 3586hta for it. Needed probably not, but remember tq ratings of these clutchs are at the flywheel not the wheels. I dont really like puck style disc's so I went this route.
