Cold Air or Short Ram Intake?

Colder air is always better. On the dyno they may not show any difference as your hood is up and the car is not moving. But if you are on the track would you rather suck in heated air from under your hood or cooler air from outside your engine bay. On both my Vette's my cold air system showed no gains on the dyno but picked up 2 mph and .1 to .2 tenths in the 1/4. on average.

I have the speedcircuit CAI. It's a very nice piece and what I like about it is it opens up the engine bay a LOT. However, if I didn't have a gift card to use to buy it, I may have gotten a short ram like AMS or AEM. At that point they're all the same lol

I was thinking about going with the Cobb sri but I do not see anyone on the forums having this set up. I thought it was a good intake when I had it on my mazdaspeed. On this forum it is ams. I am confused too
