Should work out well, it seems anything that trades some low end torque spike for mid and top end power works better with the SST trannies anyways. So far the GT30 that I put on my friend's MR just flies at 40% TPS limits and 20 psi. I'll have fueling upgraded in a few days and tune it for 24-26 psi so we'll see.
My own car is going to hit the dyno in about 7-10 days and we'll be doing a before and after with a Boomba 3" Throttlebody and then swap in 3" lower IC piping to see what makes the most difference. My FMIC already has 3" outlets with adapters so this will give the bigger piping the best chance for showing gains. The Intake Manifold was also modifed to allow a direct bolt on 3" TB with increases plenum capacity similar to what I have on the IM now. I may scale the lower IC pipe to 2.75" but we'll see soon enough.
Good luck with your Evo this season, the FP Black should pull like a train on the top end.
