Evo X Final Drive 4.28

I am literally a day or two away from making this purchase and was just wondering if any EvoM members had feedback on this product. I am looking for people with with track(1/4) feedback ! I have searched on here and found a few threads but not enough feedback from people who actually own the product. Some say its worth the purchase and other say just build the motor and rev out them gears

Buschur used it and said that its better to rev out the motor unless you're a crazy high HP build.

Don't know about buschur, but there is something to be said for trapping at 140+ in 4th gear and never cracking 8k rpm's

I love my final drive.

^ note the stroker motor + 800+whp. Gump's car is where the final drive is useful.

However, David Buschur did state that the final drive is not a good move for HIGH horsepower cars with large turbos and GUMP is on a large turbo and HIGH horsepower

nope. DB said if you can rev it out you're better off. Gump has a stroker, he has a firm 8k redline.

Since my car won't have a built engine until next season I'm going with a taller final drive and a 650 crank hp sized turbo setup. Should work well since trapping at 120 mph because 4th is gone just sucks. That said the main focus of my car isn't drag racing but I still want to be able to do it. The gears just wiz by so fast that spacing them out really makes sense.

How is the final drive for DD? What's rpm average in 5th gear on the freeway?

I am still not sure if I should do it or not I mean the cars going to be for the 1/4 mile and the end of fourth does come around to soon but with taller gearing would the car fall out of power on the switch of the gears OMG
