Magnus Evo IX CMC conversion or SSP CMC?
Which one would you choose if you had to upgrade your clutch? Are there any other options besides those two? I will be tearing down my car here within the next week or so and I decided to "upgrade" but after reading so many stories of both failing I was wondering what everyone else would choose and why........
Any opinions, comments, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated to help me and those that are in the same boat.
-TIA

Kris told me they sent me a revised v3 and it failed on me after a half hour of driving. I have an AMS/exedy twin plate w/ push style conversion. I personally think it was me running DOT 4 break fluid that messed up the seals, but I don't have any confirmation

Has anyone wrapped the stainless clutchline that comes with the Magnus kit? Stainless steel likes are known to rub their way through almost anything... I got my car back today and was looking at it, looks like there are a lot of thing that I wouldn't want it rubbing through... If anyone has wrapped theirs, what did you use? Anybody have any suggestions for me?
I also have a spec 2+ clutch, everything feels pretty mch stock except slightly higher pedal pressure, prolly about the same as my sisters stock 08 sti. As far as where it grabs, it feels the same as a stock 2011 evo, which is lower then the previous years. I was really worried about tuis cause some people said the Magnus causes a high engagement point and I hate high engagement clutches. Overall I'm pleased with the spec and Magnus combo.

Go with the Magnus, had 3 SSP CMC's fail on me. I bought a Evo IX CMC off of ebay for $30 and the Magnus adapter, been running fine for over 1200 miles. All the SSP MC's i had barely made it to 1k miles.

and my SSP v3 CMC just pooped on me on the way home from work. Glad I was close enough that I didnt need a tow.
EDIT: After talking to SSP, it is impossible for V3s to fail. This pretty much tells me I do have a V2, which would make it #3. Time to order the magnus.
