SSP Master Cylinder Problem

Hey guys,

I have been having a problem with my SSP master cylinder that I purchased back in july of '10. The clutch pedal will like stay depressed and come back up if I kick it up. Its not like my oem one that just broke and the pedal was completely screwed, its more like i can pull it back up and engage the clutch again. I have contacted SSP and I don't think they are owning up to their work. Any of you guys have this problem?

Samuel

ya supposedly they put a plastic liner inside the cylinder to prevent wear on the casing. They keep telling me "we'll see what we can do for you" but in the end I'm pretty sure they don't want to own up to faulty engineering. Not that they went out of their way to do it but still. I don't like to bash people or companies before I know for sure who/what they are. I was expecting a replacement sent out asap by the way Kris was talking to me on the phone but now im sure hes beating around the bush.

Sam

edit: i have the v2 btw

Hmm... there must be something else to it then. Every time I've seen something go wrong with an SSP product they have stepped up 100%. I would say their product is ehhh.. mainly bc it keeps wearing out. I hope they've got it right w/ v3 because I was hoping to buy one. Their customer service is through the roof though, really top notch.

Once you get the V3 in make sure you bleed out all the old fluid. More than likely it will have a crap load of metallic particles, so if you install the V3, it will fail again.

Yea I was skeptical at first because I didn't get alot of contact from Kris but later found out he was out of town for 2 of the days so I am really glad they are not like some shady company and they do care about their products and customers. This is the kind of thing that makes me want to buy parts from them.

Kris @ SSP are good peeps.

Had a very similar issue with mine several months back and they shipped me a new MC with no if/ands/or buts.

I replaced the seals on my V2 three times before I switched to the V3. I have over 7K miles on the V3 with no problems to date.
