I've been running the ACT sprung 6 puck on my Evo 8. 412whp / 400wtq on Mustang.

The clutch really isn't bad at all. Engagement is fine and clutch weight is fine. It's for sure not an organic face clutch but it can hold some serious torque. No noise, etc.

However, the pucks HATE being slipped so any stop and go traffic up a hill or such can be frustrating.

Other then that it's a great clutch.

im about to get the ACT street clutch installed with the stock flywheel and my biggest concern (living in socal) is stop and go traffic and steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep *** hills. After break in period how is it on take off? do you have to really spin it a lot or as soon as you can get it moving you can drop the hammer?

The ACT street clutch with the organic face is great for daily driving. Once it gets broken in it will feel like stock but not slip like stock.

I had that exact clutch in my Evo 8 MR before swapping a 5 spd in and the 6 puck at the same time. I had the street ACT for 40,000 miles and when we pulled the 6 speed there was still a good amount of meat left on it.

Well the ACT XTSS appeals...

I think for a street car I will have to skip the HDG6 - even thou it looks like a good clutch for tq/race/drag

actually changed to Gems i will get a whole car kit.
The stock /as the tuner guys say/ cant reproduce the performance of these ECU's.
And the versatility also.
i tried to stay on stock ecu's , but the level of the car is actually beyond the stock ecus capability.
That is all i know.
