Thrust bearing fitment?
Hey everyone.
I'm building a 2.3L 4G63. Everything is brand new. I have a new block and crank from mitsu, and I'm using manley pistons and h-plus rods. I've set everything up and my crank end play is within spec, but I have some radial motion in the thrust bearing. What I mean is, the bearing is tight on the thrust side (no lateral motion), but I have some radial play (the bearing rocks back and forth when you rotate the crank back and forth. I hope I'm explaining this well enough. Is there a spec for how much motion you can have here? I'm sure it shouldn't matter, but I just want to be sure.
