Ok so my "service engine light" keeps goin off n on!?!? N I Wana know y? I called the closest mitsubishi in my area seeing as how my city doesn't have 1....they said it might b kuz of my intake??? But I highly doubt it n they said since I have am intake my warranty is void! Since it's a mod! (BS!!!) I got the car used back on FEB...on the way hme from LA wer I got it...the light came on...wen I got into town I did an oil change and the car was fine! It's now at 3k since I did the oil change....do u guys think that might b y? But the numbers that came up wer for an o2 sensor n the throttle position sensor?? Maybe a good tune is all I need??? Any 1 out ther that's thinks they kan help please do!!!!! any1 local that can possibly help wit this matter it would b greatly apprecieated!!!!

 

1 st check the code you have

 

One is an O2 sensor code n the other is the throttle position sensor?? Or do u mean the code numbers??

I believe he means yes to the code numbers.

 

although i highly doubt its cause just by the intake, k&n typically doesnt sell intakes that require a tune.

next time dont tell the dealer you have an intake, buy a stock airbox and ICP and put it back to stock, go to the dealer and see what they say.

might also wnat to check to see if the car was ever tuned or if it had any more mods than what came with it when you bought it.

 

Ok so my light turned off yesterday....an it was fine all day up until 2day! I drove for about 5 minutes an it came back on!!? is it sumthn major? Or not to big since it keeps goin off n on??

 

Sounds like a faulty 02 sensor

 

How much is it 2 jus replace that? Cuz that's one of the codes that came up! That and "throttle position sensor" I believe?? And do u think my car would run fine after I replace the O2 sensor?? As in nomore CEL??
