K&N's intake kit is nice and also comes with an UICP. You can also add the Takata and AFE Stage 2 intakes to your list. I personally have the AFE Stage 2 DryflowS kit; the heatshild was designed to utilize the stock snorkel. With the Takata/AFE you'll also want to get a turbo inlet pipe such as the Cobb or Perrin to complete the kit.
I actually plan on getting the MAP intake, it uses their own custom snorkel. Yes the intake is a bit larger, 3.5". I heard too that it should be used with aftermarket turbos, so I pm MAP and they said it was actually designed to run on a stock turbo fine, just need a retune.

Keep in mind that doing so will reduce MAF resolution.

It'll have about the same gains as any other good intake on the stock turbo. It's a nice intake, don't get my wrong, I like their heatshield design, but just keep in mind the larger diameter your intake the lower your MAF resolution. This is generally only a trade-off needed to be made when you're maxing out the MAF and could potentially lessen your idle and low-speed drivability quality. A good tuner experienced with Evo X MAF scaling should be able to keep it stable/smooth for you though.

Chris Carey (owner of MAP) is running one on his car so I'm sure he could have Jordan (MAP's tuner) point you in the right direction for tuning for it and maybe even give you the needed scaling table.
