Stuttering WOT

Alright so I guess it is about time I ask, maybe someone can give me some input... So for about a month or so now my X has been running funny. When I drive it without "getting on it" it drives completely normal, as so it seems. But, when I go WOT in any gear it stutters really hard. By stutter I mean a jerky feeling like it is trying to go but it isn't grabbing maybe a boost leak feeling but I am not sure if that is the case. I also, took it to mitsubishi and they had nothing to say other then they wouldn't touch it since I have my AMS cold air intake and no cats. Any input would be a huge help on what it may be, thank you!

Are you tuned? Intake and test pipe can do funny things without a proper tune for it.

Have you checked/changed your plugs?

Spark plugs? I might have to agree with you on that, I replaced them about 20,000 miles ago and this seems like the same problem I had before I replaced them last time, how can I check them myself?

And is this a normal occurrence to need to replace spark plugs roughly every 25,000 miles? I assume not by wondering why

It's possible to foul up some plugs by running too rich.

Pull them out and if the tips are black you're running rich. Also check to make sure they are properly gapped.

this has to be the case, possibly a boost leak but I dont think so though only because I have had them on for 2 years and there has never been a leak. I will have to have mitsubishi replace them, any ideas on cost off the top of your head, dont worry about it if not.

That's the first thing I though of when reading the thread, especially being that you are probably running more that stock boost with the mods you listed I would definitely check that.

Did you change your gas station? When my car had a stock tune on it, if i got gas at a certain gas station, it would stutter during WOT.
