Good Luck!!!
Yeah you should have installed your oem parts. It really depends on the dealer. If they want to help you out or not. Time for a sweet build DD.

Pls take your car to someone who can tell you exactly what is wrong. You are thinking you need a complete rebuild and it really sounds like you have a blown headgasket, nothing more. If you want to spend several thousand dollars for a new motor then go ahead. You need to find someone that can tell you whats wrong for real, and it aint the intercooler..face the fact that you dont have a warrenty.

The ECU has a max load and a torque limiting table that, if properly tuned, would have prevented the overboost from blowing your motor.

I bought a 98 Trans Am while back. It lasted me about 2 years until I added nitrous to my very long list of mods. I had my buddy remove all the parts, reinstall all OEM parts and my dealer fixed my demolished engine. I bet it would've been fixed if you installed the oem parts.

So AMS tune blew his motor? Or installing a downpipe and not getting retuned did it?

Wow, huge relief for you I bet. Glad it's good now. White smoke is usually antifreeze burning.
