Engine TINGING sound after oil change??

First things first I have GSC S2 cams w/ ferrea valvetrain. Installed about 3-4k miles ago by a reputable guy on this forum. Clearances were checked and were good.

Changed the oil yesterday (5w-30 mobile 1 and oem mitsu filter) started it up to fill the filter and for a couple of seconds a loud TINGING sound came and went. Turned the engine off and put in a tad more oil to get the correct amount. Started it back up and there is a constant TINGING (not ticking) coming from what it seems like the exhaust side. Used 2 different stethoscopes to get a better idea of where it was coming from. After tying it on the valvecover, intake/exhaust manifolds, turbo, and dp none of them ever really sounded any different. My step dad claims he heard it better on the 1 cylinder (far left) ex. manifold port more then anything else. I tried to listen with the scope and it was still VERY faint hardly any difference from the other ports. The sound follows the rpms when giving it any extra throttle. Since this has happened I have put around 170 miles on it and it hasn't gotten any worse. I have not done any diagnosing besides using the stethoscope.

Any help/thought would be appreciated thanks in advance!

Another interesting thing probably irrelevant tho is that for a week or so now I have had a p0420 cel (catalyst deficient threshold bank 1) and after the oil change and the tinging issue occurred the cel went away. Not sure if that has anything to do with it but its just weird since the only way for me right now to get rid of the code was to erase it with the odb II cel check tool.

try putting the stethoscopes on all the 4 injectors and let me know if you hear the tinging coming from them.

I actually heard the noise he is speaking of. After the oil was changed, it ticked really loud for a couple seconds and went away.

Now there is a tinging noise coming from the exhaust side of the motor. It sounds like there is a little guy in the exhaust tapping on the inside of the downpipe.

Have not dug into it anymore. Hoping someone on here has heard this noise before.

Well I tried that and they all sounded the same. I really dont think thats where the sound is occuring it is much more louder near the exhaust.
