TOB/wavy washer and snap ring

Well I got everything up transmission is in but the tob will not snap into the wedge collar. I think I may have installed the wedge collar wrong. Do you have to take the pressure plate off to install it? It has one clip, two washers and the collar with the fingers. Is the clip supposed to be on the back side of the pressure plate?
As of right now, all I did was put the wedge collar on the pressure plate with it still on the car.
Edit: I figured it out. I didn't snap the wedge collar all the way into the pressure plate. Everything is good to go now. Close this thread.
