NOOB clutch questions

So I think I'm due for a new clutch and wondering why everybody is saying NOT to get a lighter flywheel. I've searched numerous threads, read the wikipedia deal on inertia etc but why is it w/ these cars a lot (damned near everybody) doens't want or like them? Also, if you get a clutch does the flywheel have to be of the same company as in are they a mated pair or could I go w/ an ACT flywheel and Comp Clutch combo? I'm looking into getting the ACT Streetlight flywheel and the Comp Clutch stg 3...any insight would be greatful. Thanks fellas!

I've seen all the threads of everybody complaining about having a light weight flywheel but nobody ever states WHY they don't like them...what about it is a pain for a DD? Again sorry for such a lame question but I'm curious...

Thanks for the thread it did help a bit, what about clutch/flywheel combos...do they need to be of the same company or it's mix and match? I'd like to go w/ the ACT streetlite flywheel and Comp Clutch Stg 3.....

You can certainly mix and match brands when it comes to the flywheel/clutch, we'd love to help you out once you make your decision

These guys ^^^^.
I really wouldn't replace the flywheel though. Just re-surface the stocker and it is plenty light enough. Unless it's a trailer-ed (lol) track car that is. Also I would stay with a full face clutch if it were the DD. I have a 6 puck, but only drive weekends, so it's not too much of a hassle, but it's just not as "easy" You have to put a little more work into smoothing it out when you leave from a stop. I wouldn't do a 6 puck dd, but that's just my opinion. The ACT street performace disk, Holds like 500tq maybe?? not sure, but that should hold all you want to put at it for DDing. I would speak with MAP about it though. They kinda
