400 WHP Goal
Hi everyone, I am interested in purchasing an Evo X GSR in the future. Please forgive me, if this is in the wrong section (mods feel free to move) but I have a few tuning related questions for you experts over here in the tech section. If this information is available all over the site, please send me in the right direction.
EVO X 4B11 Only-
1. What is the max power the stock turbo can make on pump 93 octance?
2. What is the max power the stock turbo can make on E85?
3. What is the max power the stock turbo can make on race gas (100)?
4. How much power will the stock internals handle?
5. How much power will the stock tranny / clutch handle?
6. What does is it take to make 400 WHP?
7. What does it take to make 450 WHP?
8. How tall are the gears in the GSR tranny? (What speed is the shift from 1st to 2nd and at what RPM are you idling at 80 MPH)?
9. Does the stock exhaust drone a lot at cruising speed?
I would like honest and consistent answers... remain on the conservative side with your answers.

For reference, I owned a 2007 335i previously where making over 430 WHP was actually quite easy... It only required a few bolt ons, tune and a meth kit.

Transfer case starts to get unhappy ~450 whp. Stock exhaust doesn't drone at all. Even my akrapovic exhaust doesn't drone on the highway. If you're at the factory redline first is a bit over 40 and second is a bit over 60. and i think 80 mph in 5th is around 3700 rpm.
If you really want 400 whp get full bolt ons and throw an FP green on it. I'd upgrade the internals too just to be safe. I made 400 whp on 93 and 450 on e85. If you switch to the corn you'll need to swap fuel pumps.

Dyno numbers will vary depending on the dyno. All my numbers are based of off GST's mustang dyno which is a very low reading dyno.
1. What is the max power the stock turbo can make on pump 93 octance? Not sure as I went straight to E85 at 500 miles.
2. What is the max power the stock turbo can make on E85? My turbo was pretty maxed at 350 WHP. We might have been able to pull more but it was not worth the money.
3. What is the max power the stock turbo can make on race gas (100)? No idea. But less than E85.
4. How much power will the stock internals handle? The general concensous is keep the TQ under 400. I ran around at 450 whp with a T3 kit running a 6262 before I built my engine. My TQ was only in the 330 range. I put 20K on my engine and it had great compression numbers before my rebuild.
5. How much power will the stock tranny / clutch handle? My clutch was shot with the stock power. A couple of launches was all it took. My tranny has been fine. Not sure what the limit is. depends on the power and how often you launch it.
