To keep Stock Cat Back???

Getting ready to order CBRD BBX Full or EF3 along with ID 1000's and be retuned. Current mods are in my signature. I have been very happy with car over first year and 18k miles, but feel that the stockcatback could sound a little "tougher". My main concern though is will I be choking this turbo by retaining the sleeper less attention look? Mitch at AMS said on stock turbo with downpipe and test pipe no, but how about now? I am considering the ETS V2 Quiet or Buschur Crossflow....

I've heard of guys running 3" pipe back to the stock suitcase then cutting the top off the exhaust and gutting the muffler….

Yes, it will be a very large restriction. A local down here has a modified stock catback on his MAP EF2 and it's still choking his setup pretty bad.

In addition to the catbacks you've already listed, also check out the Magnaflow (w/full 3" conversion) and the Cobb; all four have a nice deep tone w/o being annoying or over-bearing.

That is what I was thinking. You got a link for magnaflow? If it is the standard one most vendors have and in Evo X exhaust thread I have seen it... Which exhaust do you think performs the best out of that group and Quietest with my AMS Down Pipe and Non Resonated Test Pipe?

http://www.maperformance.com/magnafl...n-x-16823.html

Select the 3" option and you got full 3"

All full 3" catbacks will perform almost identically. I switched from the Magnaflow to a Cobb and WHP changed by 1, and WTQ changed by 2 (these are negligible differences so I'm not going to state in which direction they changed).

Went Invidia Q300 after hours of exhaust clips and looks. Couldn't be happier, sound awesome with non resonated test pipe, no drone on highway, butt Dyno feels good. On to the good stuff, ordered EF3 with anti surge and turbine upgrades!! Along with FIC's 1100 and Grimspeed!! Pump gas this year and possible E85 down the road. Looking for a simple solid setup with stock drive ability. Will update with new thread when I get tuned!
