Hole in cv axle boot..
So yesterday I discovered a bunch of grease all over the hub assembly on the passenger side. I found a very small hole in the outer cv boot.. Now it's probably been like this for about 3k miles.. Am I safe just replacing the boot? Or is it likely the cv is going to go bad? Also, how hard is it to replace as I have never wielded with a cv axle before. Thank you for any help!

Take apart the joint and wash it out with cleaner or gas. If the bearings and housing don't appear gouged, it's safe to repack it with grease and put a new boot on it. If you find gouge like marks in the housing, just replace the whole CV joint.
