How exactly do I loosen tensioner on serpentine belt?

I've been reading about doing a serpentine belt replacement and everything makes sense to me, problem is when I get out there with the panel and wheel off, I don't understand how to actually relieve the tension on the belt.

What exactly do I need to turn/move? Pics would be very helpful.

I turned the bolt on what I believe to be the tensioner pulley, but that just loosened the bolt and now the belt tension won't allow me to tighten it back in straight, so the car isn't going anywhere until I figure this out.

Any help much appreciated.

If anyone is doing this, watch out for the tensioner when you remove the belt - it will swing the wrench back much farther than where you first put it on, and if you take the wrench off (or it slips off) I really don't know how you would turn the tensioner loose enough to get the belt back on, given the limited play you have to work with.

Why would you be taking the wrench off? Well, the wrench + hex wrench block you from removing the old belt, so you're going to have to at least remove the hex wrench to get it out of there.
