So while we are on the topic, I figure i might as well swap out my UICP while im at it. I have seen that some of them replace/relocate the bypass valve hose. Is there any advantage to this?

Stock location is the best, Mitsu put it that way for a reason. It doesn't look the greatest, but it is functional. I hunted high and low for the best LICP for my car and Depo is what I ended up getting, and now recommend to people. Cobb's is decent too, I just wish it were at least 2.75" rather than 2.5" which is why I didn't go with that one. If you have an intercooler with only a 2.5" outlet though then the Cobb one is fine.

To put things in perspective, the better air flow you have the better you perform.
Since you already have gotten a slightly used AGP FMIC, grab yourself the depo LICP. Just like mine and you will be very happy when you dyno her. Kracka didn't go with the UICP, i believe it is because either they didnt have the depo UICP or he had a one off piece that is a single piece (that bastard).

My complete intake setup:
-AFE intake w/DryflowS filter
-Cobb 3" turbo inlet tube
-MAP EF2.5 w/3" non-anti-surge housing
-Nisei 1-piece UICP
-MAP prototype FMIC (basically the same as AGP)
-Depo 3" LICP
-Mil.Spec 64mm ported throttle body
-Mil.Spec ported intake manifold

With the 3" FMIC outlet getting a 3" LICP makes sense, and will be even more beneficial if/when you decided to get the IM/TB ported. If you know for certain you will never ported the throttle body, then it really won't matter much whether you get a 2.5" or 3" LICP; both will work fine.

When I got this car, back in August, I told myself I was gonna keep it stock till December. At the rate I'm going it looks like I will be upgrading the turbo in a couple months

Without proper back to back dyno claims like the agp over an ams or ets is better is nothing more then opion. Id like to see dyno or at least mainfold temp back to back for better verfication.
I like ets personally but without any data making statements saying its better then X brand is just an opion.
