DC Sports Single Exit/Dual Can Cat-Back exhaust, thoughts?

Hey guys, so i've got a little money coming my way and I'm really hoping to pull the trigger on the exhaust for my 08 Evo, I've spent multiple hours researching different systems but one that really caught my attention was the DC Sports single exit. The reason why is because it's almost entirely straight through, and silence is not something i'm looking for. I've used DC in the past and I liked the product. Does anybody have either of these exhaust or any advise on if/which one I should get?

I have the spec-d tuning cat back duel pipe, I got it for about $280 and it sounds sick. I've got a wide mouth down pipe and a 200cel HFC also but i couldn't be happier with the setup. Hope this helps

I have the same thing posted a thread last week and still no answer. But I digress, in my opinion, I wouldn't buy a real expensive exhaust. When you boil it down... its a tube, its just a tube, save your money and spend that on the actual upgrades. Like injectors or cams everyone ****s them selves when I tell them my turbo back system is all off brand.

I'm starting to see that. Granted some more expensive exhausts do boast more features but at some point how much are we paying for the product and how much are we paying for the name? My last exhaust was an off-brand eBay cat-back on a GT tiburon and I loved it. Thanks for the reply!

Yes, it is a tube. However, the cheaper you go, the cheaper the parts and metals that are used. Then when the exhaust falls apart, you have to do it again. Make sure its good metal that will last if you daily drive, expecially in northern america.

That is true, my spec-d cat back is already rusting and I got it about a year ago, but until it starts getting holes in it I'm not to worried. My HFC from depo works great though 200 cel for like $180?! Can't beat that! And I forget the brand of my wide mouth down pipe but I haven't had any issues and its still nice and shiney lol it was a pain to put in though

Thumbs up

Bumping this thread from the dead...

I recently bought and installed a new DC dual canister cbe for my X. The drone is insane around 4k rpm, but it sounds pretty good.

I only paid $300 shipped for the system, which is a steal imo. I've seen them listed as high as $700, but it seems most places list them between $450-650.

I've only seen one other person run the dual canister system, and they had the same complaint as me, which is the passenger side tip sticks out slightly further than the drivers side. I can try to adjust when I don't feel lazy.

Anyhow, I figured I'd bump this to let you guys know of a nice free flowing 3" system that can be had for right at $300

But why would anyone want an exhaust where the drone is insane and the tips are off? Lol

Lol, insane is an exaggeration. It is definitely there though. I just got soft after cruising around stock for so long!

I'm sure the tips can be aligned, I haven't tried yet because it's barely noticeable.

I too have the Spec-D. Got it for about $380 shipped. It sounds pretty damn mean, better than I expected in fact. I installed this over a year ago and its still in excellent condition, no problems whatsoever.

I finally crawled up under the car since installing the catback, and after about 5 minutes I got the tips aligned.
