Tips and Tricks for installing a NON-Bellmouth down pipe (e.g., Perrin, Cobb, etc.)
Anyone have any tips on installing the non-bellmouth type DP? Specifically, what is the best way to get at the two bolts that connect it to the factory bellmouth? From the top/bottom/side? What tool combination? Pictures?
Most of the info out there is for the bellmouth type (e.g., AMS) where you have to remove multiple bolts. The non-belmouth type should be easier, but getting at those bolts is a bit of a PITA.
Thoughts?
Thanks!

Some combination of a long, maybe 12"+ extension with a universal joint on the end should get you to the bolts from the bottom. Haven't investigated the situation from the top. I do recall using a breaker bar to pop the bolts loose as they are usually rusty and nearly seized.

Should have clarified; [same steps] as any downpipe removal.
Get some ratcheting wrenches and start cursing.
