Is it absolutely necessary to upgrade the CMC when upgrading the clutch?
As the title says, is it? I am not planning on getting any super duper clutch set up.
I just want to upgraded to Exedy HD or comparable stage 1 clutch but wasn't sure if I need to upgrade the CMC as well.
Thanks for any input and I tried to search but wasn't coming with any thing because I suck at searching.

No it is not absolutly neccesary from what ive read but it seems like that argument could go both ways because the cmc is not all that great in our cars it seems. I would say just stay with stock till it breaks or if it breaks then replace it.

It's probably hit or miss but my new CMC (the updated recalled one) lasted me about 6 months with my Competition Twin clutch. Thing is it didnt go out like most. I can still drive it. It's just if I push slow it goes to the floor and sticks. I can pull it back up with my foot.
Just got the AMS upgrade to install tomorrow.
