Which Clutch and what SoCal shop for install?
Hi everyone,
So I've contacted Cobb, Massimo Power and RRE about doing my clutch and CMC install. All shops quoted me very similar prices. Any opinions on which shop I should choose based on your past experiences?
Also, havn't fully decided on the clutch yet..
ACT HDSS/Comp stage 2/Comp stage 3.
Anyone have suggestions?
I want a clutch that will LAST. Increased pedal pressure doesn't bother me.
Nothing will compare to the pedal pressure of the clutch I had in my 99 Civic si, lol.
That thing split release forks in half! It was probably overkill, I know..
In any case, the car is a 2012 EVO GSR, stock block w/ all bolt ons, 330hp/315tq mustang dyno (FFTEC), planning on going FP red in the future. No plans to build block for quite a while so the clutch won't see TQ over 375 or so.
I'd love to hear your opinions!
Thanks in advance

Can't comment on which shop to choose.
But I have the competition stage 3 clutch with the upgraded flywheel and the thing grabs like a ****. Don't quite have 10k miles on it yet. It it quite stiff, much stiffer than the stock clutch.
Probably quite a bit overkill for my set-up TBH. I probably should have gone for stage 2 in hindsight, but oh well.

Super late response but go to Cobb. As much as people talk about RRE, I have an acquaintance who has had less than stellar things to say about them and he's given them more than a handful of opportunities to change the stigma. I'm sure they would do a great job, but the last 3 years of taking my car to Cobb have been nothing but pleasurable.
